Kimbap

by Jasmine Nauta

Like many other Asian cultures, rolls filled with protein and vegetables is a common find in Korean cuisine. Kimbap, is the traditional Korean seaweed roll, often filled with carrots, egg, meat, rice, and other veggies. This makes it an easy, delicious, nutritious and fun to eat snack for any time of day!

In this simple recipe, you can use many ingredients that you will already have at home, ave for a few of the items that you might have to specifically get for this recipe like the imitation crab meat. All things considered though, things like rice, spinach, beef, the oils and garnishes, carrots, and other veggies are ones that are easily found in any household.

If you have not made this kind of rolled dish before, it might be good to try a few ones ahead of time, since it takes a little bit of practice for most people, but I would say that this is one of the best skills to have in the kitchen, since you can get really creative with any rolled dish that you might want to make.

If you don’t have the bamboo wrap, you can use cling film and an American service mat to roll your Kimbap up too! It’s really that convenient!

And don’t forget, #LifesDelicious, so enjoy it!
